Windwhistle Trial

All you classic trialists who did not go to this event today missed a treat.   Tim Whellock and his team organized a cracking event in the woods surrounding Clinton and Normans Hump.   22 classic hills and 2 special tests, slick organization and rain 2 hours before the trial but not during it.

  1. Good News - a relatively new motor club organizes a New Event. The Windwislte Motor Club put on a single venue Classic Trial - at Bovey Down. The organisation was faultless - a clean port-a-loo in the woods, a tea and pasty tent, the event started, ran and finished at the schedule time. Results and awards were sorted while putting the tyres back up to road pressure. Normans Hump might just be a romp in the woods but it turned angry later in the day with very few seeing the top. Clinton restart was tricky, not enough grip then later too much. Another section was set as not being climbable. Jason Flay the only one to see 5 to 0 on this section had a deserved Best performance of the Day.
Thanks to Sheldon Ware, Pete Young, Jerry Sheppard and Tim Wellock for a day that could not be bettered. More importantly this is a new club, a new event, it our style and there is no highways legislation could effect its future. 2005 miss it and weep !
