There is an RTL Husky(spelling now corrected) on Ebay (280284027551). I've only ever seen one in the flesh. With its high ground clearance, Ford running gear, short wheel base and rearward engine position (8" behind front axle according to ACTC spec) would it be one of the more promising Class 7 possibilities? Or is there some snag? If it were a good bet is it not surprising that there are none about?
Good fun - yes must get mine out again. The main problems are that the petrol tank is too low behind the rear axle - relocate into sealed compartment under rear seat And there is limited rear axle travel due to the nature of flat ladder type chassis - overcome by fitting transit front springs on the back - stops bottoming out but I think they maybe too hard - still working on this . Got golds on Exeter, Lands End and Edinburgh but not in the same year ! If anyone buys it I can help out with ideas etc MikeW
Hi there is another Husky on EBay now item=270307782400 Strangely enough in Exmouth, but unknown to me . However it is not a completed project so would have to go through SVA I guess. Hopefully I will be out in mine next year - using the TR on the Exeter MikeW
