MCC Testing Trial 12 July
The MCC put on a great event helped by the weather. Saturdays down poor dampened the ground and Sundays, sunshine with the odd shower made the going interesting. Its not my place to announce results but the same regulars made the quickest times. One has to admire just how fast an Imp and an MG Maestro can be piloted upon wet grass. The long lunch break with an on site burger bar gave all the chance to eat and socialise. I entered an MGB and with enthusiastic driving and soft springs managed to wrap the numberplate over both the top and bottom of the front bumper, like a stick on. It goes without saying that the boys and girls upon the bikes were even quicker than the cars. Our Celia still with a strapped wrist and the larger than life Yoshi, took home trophies. If you did not go there is always next year, if you can wait that long for a good day out.

I have put some images of the Testing Trial on my website, http://www.johnsalter.multiply.com/photos. Have tried to set up a direct link with the images but something either animal or mineral isn't working today.
ReplyDeletePlease be patient as the autouploader is only managing to load about 8 images an hour.
John - You can do a direct link to the album by clicking "Share" at the bottom of the page and then cutting and pasting the link MCC Testing Trial 2009
ReplyDeleteYou can also embed the whole album (or just one picture) like below. By the way I can see how Jonathan bent his number plate!
Good photos John, especially the Model A and Golf going down the dip.
ReplyDeleteSome great photos there John, as always a very enjoyable days sport with some good competition and more importantly some very good banter. Ideal weather conditions, and thanks must be given to a good turn out of marshals. Congratulations to Bill Rosten in the Imp,a storming drive.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant day out, very enjoyable event, MCC did a brill job, look forward to next year!
ReplyDeleteI went along to the testing trial, following John Aley's Plea for some photo in Newsweek. Had a great time, very sociable event, and met many old friends. Good weather and Clear skies made for good photography so there are lots here. Enjoy.
