Some interesting Reading
There is a fair collection of Motor Sport magazines here at Chaos Manor. Browsing this morning I came across a report of the MCC AGM, held at Pagani's on the evening of 29 January 1938.

Christmas Quiz Question 2

Classical Gas 2010 Christmas Quiz
Here's the first question. There is a prize of a bottle of wine for the right answer, provided I can deliver it while I am trialling!
This famous car was last trialled in 1964 and hopefully will appear on the hills again after some TLC.
Can you identify the car and say who built it and for who?
We would also like to know about the cars competition history.

Ford "Pop" axle breakages
Carl Talbot is cataloguing the breakages in Ford Pop type axles to ascertain the weakest specific parts in their order of vulnerability, ie not just 'the diff. broke' but more specific , as in: 'the planet gears broke' or 'seized on pin' or 'pinion teeth broke' or 'half shaft broke'
Carl is looking at improving the standard "Pop" axle for trialling, having done a lot of work on the "English" axle, coming up with a solution using a transit diff that is used successfully by a lot of triallers.
At the moment Carl is trialling a Buckler Mk5. I am sure we will benefit from his work on the standard Pop axle if we can help him with this information. If you can help please email mleete24@hotmail.com and I will forward. - MichaelMonday, 6 December 2010
