You are, of course, right mikeshusky. I hadnt realised that it would need to go in Class 8. BTW "only a Skoda driver...." Explain yourself , Mr W!!!!!!
Its not a class 8 car, its not even a car. With only three wheels its officially a motorbike and therefore would go in Class E; except that the ACU rules require side by side seating. RTFR as they say.
Interestingly I had someone contact me as ACTC secretary recently enquiring which class the car he was building could enter as he could not work it out from the information on the ATTC website. It was a tax exempt VW based trike. 1600 cc engine, single front wheel, single seat for driver and a side by side seat for the passengers. I broke it to him as gently as I could that it was not eligible for either car or motorcycle classes. I did ask if he had watched many classic trials and what he thought of reversing the trike back down a 1 in 3 slope! Stuart Harrold
Interesting - I think the regs talk about passenger/navigator being beside the driver not in tandem fashion !
ReplyDeleteRecon it could be a lot of fun though

Not sure on that one. My passenger sits in the back usually on a section and sometimes directly behind me. Tandem?
ReplyDelete"Baldrick" comments about his passenger position; only a Skoda driver could think his machine was a motorcycle :)

Oh Dear Me!!! I humbly bow down to infinate wisdom and age then. I do hope you are not using the alternative of RTFR that I discovered here though:- http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=RTFR
