Allen Trial 2004

Allen Regs went in the post on Monday (2nd Class) and it appears that some people have already received them. Apologises about the confusion on the front cover. It should read
'Paul & Emma 2003 winners on this year's Northern Trial'
Regs should be on the Bristol Motor Club & ACTC sites soon.
I suggest you enter promptly as we have had lots of requests for regs or people saying they are going to be entering.

Jacks Hill Cafe

I received this e-mail, which will be interesting to Falcon members and those of you that live in the Hitchin, Stevenage area. For those of you that don't Jacks Hill cafe used to be on the "Bray Complex" where Neil runs his business today. As Lindy says the site has gone through many phases. Over the years Falcon has both met there and used it for the start of the March Hare Trial. If anyone would like to get in touch with Lindy let me know. - Michael

Hello there, Can I point out that after Jacks Hills Cafe at Graveley closed it later reopened as The Blue Note a typical 70s style disco, my husband and I met there when he was the DJ we have wonderful memories of the place, when the Blue Note closed it was taken over and then became the Silver Hall.  I found your site whilst looking to see if anyone had made a web site for the Blue Note and there must be plenty of us folk who still would love to be back inthe 70s out there somewhere. Anyway just a bit of trivia for you.

Kindest Regards Lindy Fleetwood

Marlin for Sale

Posted on behalf of Roger Dudley who is looking for a LWB Marlin.

Michael

I can't remember any of my passwords!.
There is a 1800 cc Marlin for sale on FindIt uk website.  It is for sale by somebody that has been a member of Falcon and the car has done a Brickhill trial according to the owner. The car {from a phone call} appears to be correctly registered, tax exempt with a sump guard.  Only £1500.00 but Short wheel base - no good for me!!!! but seems like a good buy for somebody.  There is a photo with the advert.

Do you know anybody who might be interested?

Roger Dudley

Roger - I think I saw this and reconised it as Neil Denhams Maroon car. It is a YKC car and originally had an O series engine. Neil was a keen Falcon member for a number of years and used it at Brickhill and some MCC events. Neil had come down from the North to work in Milton Keynes in the photograhic trade and went back again a few years later. I know I have some pictures on CG but I can't find them!

Tubeless

To tube or not that is my question!!!

All of my recent punctures appear to be caused by the tube being pinched by the rim with no apparent damage or hole in the tyre. This is probably a result of only being able to get "cheap" imported tubes.
Has anybody tried running tubeless?

Innovation? Or what?

Innovation is alive and well, in trials, at least.....seen on Edinburgh....MGB GT with an aircooled VW motor/tranny up its rear end.

So just WHAT was in the front?
