Exeter paperwork should be on its way to you as I type this. Been out today 'improving' and inspecting some of the hills and bumped in to a group of barely recognisable ramblers we felt may have had motoring perhaps trialling connections. Or was I just imagining things. In deepest darkest Dorset. Beware big brother is watching, hee, hee, hee.
Route amendments posted in the Members Pages of the MCC website along with lots of other new stuff. Start here: http://www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/about/whatsnew.htm Andrew
ReplyDeleteAndrew - nice job on the spectator guides but whats happend to John's "News of the Week"? Was it his idea or the committee's to take it of the site and make it e-mail only? Michael
ReplyDeleteMine. Andrew
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion its a shame. By being on the web the search engines pick up key words and via that mechanism trialling gets exposed to a bigger audiamce. I once suggested to John that he made NOTW a podcast. Perhaps thats a bit to OTT but a publicaqlly available blog certainly. Michael
ReplyDeleteDon't mistake the disappearance of NOTW for being the disappearance of the Monthly Newsletter. The latter will remain on the web, and I think its content should be sufficient trigger for anyone who might wander into the classic trials world from the ether. On the other hand, perhaps the disappearance of NOTW will encourage those members who do not currently receive it directly into their mailbox to register their e-mail address with me so that they can then also access the MCC Members Only area. I have been amused over the holiday period by the trickle of messages from members complaining that their e-mail address "doesn't work" when my records show that they have never bothered to tell me what it is.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or are other people having trouble getting onto the MCC website today?
ReplyDeleteIan - Just got on with no problems - Michael
