Blue Hills Mine

If you havent seen it yet, Blue Hills Mine is the MSA Magazine Readers Awards Venue of the Year. Never been there myself but what will that do for the publicity of Classic Trialling amongst MSA members? Brilliant news and a nice write up in the magazine.

  1. Well deserved. Just shows the power of a little eMail encouragement to MCC members. I wonder what any racers will make of it if they go and look at it!

  3. I have a pre-release of the magazine, and the article looks good, helped of course by some excellent Photos all of the Lands End 2009..
I hope some one can get a copy to Ken Bassett No 260 Ford Escort, Neil Veil No 210, VW Beetle, and Keith Pettit, No 167 Austin Healy Sprite, as they feature in the Photos.

  6. Don't forget a special vote of thanks to Simon Woodall who first suggested that we should all vote for Blue Hills in the MSA poll, then kicked-off the email campaign which resulted in the final award.

But ... personally I think it's a great shame that the MSA didn't use one of the many pictures of the section taken from the other side of the valley and showing the competitor's first sight of the hill. I'll always remember the look on the face of one first-timer when he stopped behind us in the queue on the descent, got out of his car, and looked across the valley. His jaw dropped and he was speechless for several seconds before uttering a quiet expletive. I told him we all thought the same - however many times we'd seen that view before.
