Bovey Down Classic Trial

Just got back from the very well organised 3rd, bovey down single venue classic trial .A total entry of 30 was a pretty good turn out for what was to be a fairly dry event resulting in 4 clean sheets( should have been 5 but ask Pete Hart about restart lines or boxes ). It was therefore down to special test times with the outcome being an overall win by one secand for Peter Mountain in the very nice dellow. Well done to Emma Robilliard  who also went clean in a class 4 beetle to keep the boys on their toes. All in all a cracking event with 25 hills and finished by about 4pm.
Well done to the organisers and marshals for a top day.           Nick Farmer

  1. I endorse Mick Farmer's comments.   This is an excellent well organized trial and so different because of the zero road milage, so nearly all day is spent going up hills - Bliss.     The dates are difficult though, some entrants had been trialling on three consequitive weekends, The Lands End, The Kyrle and then the Bovey Down; for someone holding down a full time job that can be very difficult.   Thanks again to the organizers.   Peter Mountain
