I seem to be having a problem with keeping the coolant in the system when the engine gets warm. I have no expansion/header tank and wondered whether you have overcome any similar problems. Are there custom made tanks available?
For years I have used an BMC 1800 brass remote header tank with 100% success. You will need to put a plain cap on the radiator and fill it brim full, then take the pressurized overflow tube to the header tank; I suggest you start with a 4psi cap on the header tank which only needs to be half full. If you are still using water after installing this you have a different problem.

ReplyDeleteThanks Peter - I will keep a look out for one. Any chance of you sending me a picture of your arrangement so I can get it clear in my mind. Tony
