Not a trials car even though it looks like one; it is a Buckler that the owner (name escapes me) uses for speed hillclimbs regularly. I think it is still 1172 sidevalve. I've met him twice at the Manx Classic and once at Wiscombe in the last few years. He always drives it to events and has no weather equipment of any sort. Mike Furse knows him.

    Michael,

Re the above subject on the Classical Gas Message Board.

The Buckler is owned by Michael Stead and competes or takes part in anything that is going from Trials, Speed Events, Rallies, Road Runs, through to Classic Shows. It has competed on the Northern Classic and Ilkley Trials and possibly more in recent years.

    Regards
    Nigel
