What's this please?

Received the following message re Classical Gas - with a suggestion I change settings to "Text only" ?
(The setting is already "Text only").    Who is Jan ?

    That is an automatically generated e mail. You can set up your e mail to do this if you are going to be out of the office for a period of time. It just tells people they are away for a while if you are expecting a reply.

    Thanks John. I half understand.   What puzzles me is that I have never been in contact with a Jan Toms at Cornwall NHS Trust and certainly not through Classical Gas or about any Classical Gas issues. So - it is kind of her to tell me she has gone on holiday ..... but did I really need to know? Still think it is a bit weird.
