Regs online

What a great way of recieving the regs for the Exe Valley on line, I duly down loaded the info and printed off two copies for Mike who is not hooked up. 10 sides of A4 later, entry posted with 2 SAE envelopes for running list and results.
Now through the post comes my entry form inviting me to enter!!!

As we move into the online world is it not about time we can enter online, running list and results e-mailled and do away with all this paper.

MAXEY CLASSIC CAR SHOW

Here is my final reminder that the annual Maxey Classic Car Show takes place this Saturday, the 18th August, at Maxey which is situated just north of Peterborough.
Full details are on www.maxeycarshow.co.uk

Rumour has it that a certain bookseller, of high renown, will have an original copy of C.A.N. May's 'Wheelspin' and a copy of Peter Noad's 'VW Beetle in Motorsport' (see book reviews) available for discerning triallers.  Only one of each though!

Jago Jeep

Looks very good condition and cheap.  Not trials prepared but presumably it wouldn't take much...

GOODWOOD REVIVAL MEETING, B&B & TICKETS FOR SALE.

Hi Everyone,

Due to family illness I have for sale 2 tickets to the Goodwood Revival Meeting for all three days plus B&B for four nights with a Pub/Resturant at the end of the private drive.

Tickets for Goodwood are for Friday 31st August, Saturday 1st Sptember and Sunday 2nd September and cost 짙90.00 each.

B&B is at a very friendly farm some 40 minutes away from Goodwood with a cracking Pub/Resturant at the end of the private drive. We all stayed there last year and the B&B was in the region of 짙75 per night per double room. B&B is booked for Thursday 30th, Friday 31st, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd.

Shirley and I are still going but our friends have had to pull out due to family illness and I am just trying to offload the tickets and B&B. As any of you who have gone before will realise tickets are fairly easy to obtain but accomodation is very difficult.

If you are interested and want to go why not phone me on 01208 812586 to discuss it.

Roger Hoskin. (Hifor2).

Ford Pop Trials Car

This has been relisted as didnt make its modest reserve. Its now back on and he's put Not a Dellow in the header so should pick up more interest as nbadly listed before

While there are no bids (currently) a buy now price of 짙1350 would clinch it I reckon but this could be a whole lot of fun at any price eh. The registration is age related and would be good to get its original as an early special

FOOT AND MOUTH OUTBREAK

I have just seen on sky news the foot and mouth outbreak on a farm in surrey.Lets hope this is dealt with better  than in 2001 otherwise the previous thread about passengers needing licenses and/or membership cards could be irrelevant for a while.I am very lucky to have a reliable regular passenger but can relate to and sympathise with those turning up to events looking for passengers in order to get a run. Long may it continue!     Nick

"and passengers must produce a valid Club Membership Card"

The latest MSA Comic list various "proposed changes for consultation via Motorsports Now". On page 46 under 3.1.4 it says in the second paragraph:-

"Drivers in Clubman events where other clubs have accepted an invitation or and National B and above status events, must produce a valid Competition Licence as detailed in section E. and passengers must produce a valid Club Membership Card."

My reading of this is that passengers must be a member of a Motor Club unless its a Clubsport event. This would mean any passenger in an ACTC trial would have to have a Club Membership card. Not sure what "grade" an MCC trail event is i.e Clubsport, Clubman or national B

If this is right its a problem as many competitors use occassional passengers, friends, relations, work colleagues who are not members of a club.

What do others think?
