Ideas for a VW Beach Buggy engine cage/tyre rack please
I am preparing my Beach buggy for trialling and am having trouble designing an engine cage/wheel holder for the back. Can anyone give me some ideas on attachment points.
The only strength is the original beetle floor/chassis. Is it necessary to build up a steel frame internally to brace a rear frame?

Christmas Quiz Q3 - A bit more up-to-date this time. This picture was taken on my first MCC trial (I was a passenger). The main question is what is the section?
Christmas Quiz Q2
No prizes this time. The question is who is the person next to the camera. It would be fun if you can identify the car, driver and event!

Record of pre-1930 trials routes
Devon CC has recently rejected my BOAT application for a couple of old roads at Pippacott in Braun ton Parish. These were used for local trials, with at least one section in the routes claimed, into the 50s and, in between events, by local riders for practice. Not sure trail riding as such was a pastime in those days!
I will be objecting to GONE but would like to add to the evidence I have already produced and it has been suggested that it would greatly help my case to have some written evidence of use for trials e.g. a
Can anyone advise what organisation would hold these sort of trails archives please - would it be the VMCC?

Re%3A%20Weight%20Distribution
As one who does carry a lot of ballast, the golf has been competing for 15 years and just about to turn 200k, I have driven to all the events and have only been passed once on a motorway by another trials car, (red MG). The golf is happy on the motorway and stops a lot quicker than when it left the factory, the handling is very good due to the trick suspension. As when the weather turns wet, greasy, and icy I will be leaving my road car at home.
The only difficult bit about driving the golf is not on the roads or going up the sections but reversing back down!
