transit diff convertion

how hard is it to do a transit diff convertion for an escort and do i need the half shafts

    hi you use the escort (orignial ) half shafts with the escort sun wheels you will a spacer bush to make them fit the transit carrier  thats the eazy bit  you will now have to turn down the carrier to take the escort side bearings and crown wheel  this operation leaves the carrier very weak although I have not heard of any one breaking one yet hope this is of help to you
