I am going to migrate all the data to Multiply. There is too much good stuff here, dating back 12 years or so, to loose it and there is a smooth (I hope) migration path there. My plan is to do this in about 10 days, in time for the MSN deadline of 21 February.
My intention is to re-establish the group on Multiply, although it will mean members re-joining there I think that will be easier than it has been to join here.
I have looked at a php forum/bulletin board. Although I have never set one up I could do that OK and have experience as a moderator and administrator on The Classic Touring Car Racing Club forum.
However, Iooking at Multiply I believe this is a better option. In addition to being able to migrate all the existing stuff it provides a secure hosting facility. Also once it is established it would be relatively easy for me to hand over the reigns to someone else when the time comes, even if they are not "into computers". It also offers unlimited uploading of pictures and video.
The legacy issue is an important one as I am already in receipt of my bus pass and winter fuel allowance!

PS - When are you going top have a go at trialling one of those VW's?
