Edinburgh Trial Changes

Hello,

I am disapointed with the changes to The Edinburgh, which has always been ny favourite trial. I consider that going back to one start, with a shortened night run, to be a retrogate step.

The blurb that came with the regs said this was "in response to members comments". My comment is put it back to the last few years. What do other Gassers think?

Triallers go Racing!!

On Friday 19th July Classic Triallers Michael Leete and Neil Bray will be going racing - on two wheels.

They will be taking part in the Friday Night Summer Series race for Mountain Bikes at Rowney Warren.

This is a proper race - 75 bikes - over a course of several miles (four I think) in Forest Enterprise Woodland - It's pretty hilly in there - tough to ride up and scary to ride down!

It's 1 hour + 1 lap,

If you want to come along and give us a cheer here's where it is.

Friday 19th July - Starting at 7.30 pm
Rowney Warren Wood, off the A600 between Shefford and Bedford.
Park in the main car park then cross the road on foot and the start is about 100 yards down the track.

Clee Hills on TV

I thought the Clee Hills program on TV last night was pretty good. OK, some of it was a bit superficial but thats the way it is these days in the name of "entertaimnent"!

I thought the pictures were really good. Just shows what a really proffessional camera man can do.

A particular well done to Simon. I thought you did a great PR job for the sport.

Next time anyone sees Tony Mason can they explain the difference between a Classic and a PCT!

Anyone else see it and what did you think.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

Its that time of year again for the Goodwood FoS.
Sturat Harrold and I will be spectator marshalling again, hopefully at crossing '0', which is about 200 yds before the start line.
If any Gassers are coming down, please come and say 'Hello', because we have a number of comfortable chairs to rest your weary limbs in, and a good line in chat.
We will both be looking out for the Falcon boys who also come along for this wonderful event.
