The rubber band brigade lives on

You may remember me telling you of the demise of Derek Reynolds Silver Volvo 66 on the Lands End Trial.  After much soul searching, Derek had to concede that there was so much wrong with the car that it was only suitable for spare parts.

Unfortunately, I couldn't convince him that a Variomatic Volvo is not really the most suitable of cars for trialling. So, after many phone calls and several hundred miles travelling around the country, we are now the possessors of a bright yellow, low mileage, showroom standard Volvo 66.  We promised the old owner that we would look after it carefully and not take it out in the rain.

See you on the Edinburgh.

Fred
