New to trials

Hello all.  I'm very new to trials.  I've always thought trials were pretty neat, but the recent article in Classic and Sportscar led me here.

One question:  Are there any organizations that run trials in the US?  There seems to be lots of groups on your side of the pond, but I can't find anything in the US.

Thanks much,

  1. Hi there,   Welcome to the community!   No, I don't believe you have what us Brits called Trials in your county, perhaps for bikes but not cars. There is an active Dellow club but I believe the owners use their cars for circuit racing.   A brief request. Please include your real name and or genuine e-mail address in either messages and/or member profile. Check out the community rules for the reason.   Best wishes   Michael

  2. Thanks for your reply.   I guess people just aren't into trials over here.  I guess we have lots of other stuff to do off-road.  4-wheeling and such.    I recall seeing a Dellow at Watkins Glen.  It had a switch on the dash labeled "Smoke Screen" and a sign on the back that said "Caution: Moving Chicane".   BTW, I think I took care of the name/email issues.  I looked over the community rules but apparently not close enough!  If I'm missing something, please clue me in.   rehsper (Will Repsher) ___ "One of the great things in motor-racing is concentration. 3. Hi Will,   Sorry about the name thing. But sometimes posts get a bit frantic and we doon't like people slagging others off unless they are prepared to stand up and face them!   Not surprised about the mobile chicane. An original Dellow had an 1,1172 cc Side Valve engine. Most of the trials ones competing here now have a 1600cc Ford Kent Engine.   If ever you come this side of the pond come and see us. We can probably fix for you to take part as a passenger.   Michael
