  1. I think Its Mike Chatwins Troll, if it is, its the one that he won the Cotswold Clouds with last year, there should be a pic of it on Merves Swerve in the photo album, I believe it to be the original T6, but I could well be wrong. Good luck to everyone on Sunday, should be a great event, will be sorry to miss it.

  2. I can identify the Troll, 944 PYA, as chassis no: T6/01 built in 1986. This car was built at 15 The Parade, Minehead by Peter James and Chris Reeson. Chris used the car as his daily driver and went on to win the ACTC Wheelspin Trophy in 1987. Chris also made the first clean climb of Wooston Steep (difficult route) that year, a Troll first. The car was passed on to Mike Chatwin who had it extensively rebuilt and fitted with a much more powerful 1699cc engine built by Specialised Engines, fitted with two twin choke Weber carbs. In Mike's hands the car again took the ACTC Wheelspin Trophy in 1995. I am currently researching Troll T6 history for a new book I am about to write all about the T6 model, it's competition success and the people who drove the cars. I was of course part of that scene and have a great deal of material already but I would appreciate hearing from anyone who feels that they can contribute, photos, annecdotes etc. and I would like to hear from current owners of the cars who I would like to include in the chassis register. Please contact me on e-mail dandaa@turk.net or phone/fax 00 90 252 476 7951.   Best regards, David Alderson
