Journalist would like ride on Lands End

I reieved the following e-mail from Dave Hancock, the Editor of the MSA's "Motorsport Now".

Michael
I was given your details by Anne Whellock of the MCC.
Can you help by posting the following on the Classical Gas website?
Help! The MSA publication, Motorsports Now!, is running a feature on Classic Trialling in the Winter 2002 issue. We want to follow this up by competing in the Lands End Trial in Easter 2003. Our Rallying Correspondent, rally driver, Gigi Bettencourt-Gomes, wants to drive or drive and co-drive so that she can write the story. We just need a car and a partner for her. Can anyone help?

Thanks

  1. From Anne Whellock   Dear Classical Gas,   Wonder if the website can help us.  The Editor of Motorsports Now! the quarterly mag that goes out to all MSA competition licence holders is looking for a car for his featured rally driver Gigi Bettancourt Gomes to drive on the Lands End 2003.  If the owner of the car does not want to navigate for her then her rally co driver is available.  The publicity that the MCC could gain would be tremendous.  Is there anyone out there who can loan a drive or who wants to navigate for Gigi?   Look forward to hearing from you.   Anne Whellock. Press Officer (Cars) the MCC, Britain's oldest sporting club for motorcycles and cars.

  2. To get the real benefit of the night run on an MCC Trial one should perhaps ride a motorcycle (Michael Leete please note!) . Gigi must be a bit of a motorcyclist to have ridden up to see the rally stages in Wales recently. However, the article is intented for a car orientated magazine, so I guess we will not be seeing Gigi riding a Serrow amongst the early starters! John Lees.
