Imp Engine

I have a Hillman Imp engine sitting in my workshop looking for a new home. It apparently came out of a motorbike! originally. I took it because I dont like to see anything potentially useful going to waste. It has 7010030 cast into the block and 7010031 on the head and AA stamped on two lugs on the block. Unfortunately it appears to be seized as I cannot turn it with a socket on the bottom pulley but, as it is a full engine, it may have useful parts for someone. It will go to the scrap yard unless someone wants it FREE. Give me a call on 01228 530555.

  1. You should try to find someone in the Sporting Trials scene. The Imp engine is often used there.   The latest Clear Round magazine had the following add:   Imp large bore trials engine in good running order, preferably with all bits incl. twin 1 1/4’ SU's ready to run.   Please note this is for a Bond Imp 3 wheeler in classic  trials, not for direct competition in sporting trials! contact John Dixon after 7pm on 0033/299888506 or johndixon@wanadoo.fr   and while your engine is hardly ready to run (!!!) it is , at least, a start.   George Simpson Cognac
