Welcome to Tom Jones


Hi Michael.

Ive just joined your classical gas group under the user name TJEngineering. My name is Thomas Jones. I trialed a blue MK1 escort a few years ago. I am looking to get back into trialing. I really want a class 8 special but am finding it hard to find one, could you help me with this. I am also thinking about building one myself if nothing comes along. My Dad Martin Jones converted the green Dingo to classic trials many years ago. And my brother drove it to the championship before he sold it to the late Peter Fear. Ive been racing for the last few years, being lucky enought to drive some very special cars in historic racing. But I do love trialing. If there is any thing you can help me with please dont hesitate to contact me.

    Welcome Tom,

    With a bit of luck you will get some info on what Class 8 specials are up for sale. I wonder if Tim W still wants to sell his Fugitive

    Hi Tom,
    If you fancy a Class 7 car please have a look at my Liege.
    Put a different power plant in and you will be class 8.

    Hi all.

    Thanks for the comments guys. Ive been trying to track down our old cannon we had, You may know it, Its the car that was in H and H auctions back in 2008. Reg number JSV 914. We put the 1300 xflow in it and got it sort of road going but then we changed direction and sold the car. I would love to have that car back again as its a great basis to start. Ive build up a good collection of bit (as we all do) over the years and would like to go on to the next stage with it. Does anyone no of where the car might be. Im going to call H and H tomorrow to see if they might know.
