Whilst I realise that Mike was probably given no option but to "migrate" and has had to put valuable time into the transition, can I put my head over the parapet and say that the layout of the new site is not remotely as 'user friendly' as the old one?
I am also not too sure about the ads. inviting me to "Be Naughty" .................
Mike, have you found fewer people viewing and posting since the change?
I agree the change was inevitable but I like the new site. Its a bit different but who is to say that had MSN carried on they would not have made so called improvements. An example is Ebay which seems to change for no apparent reason. I'm very happy with this site. I especially like the way that videos can be posted directly.
ReplyDeleteAs for the ads, I haven't noticed them. Are they pop ups? I block pop ups.
I quite like the new site too - once you understand you have to go to "notes" it is pretty easy to use and the topics are nice and clear - also agree pictures and video are good, and to be honest the microsoft groups stuff was a pretty poor example of a message board, compared with PHP based boards etc. This is a little different but once you get used to it I think it is good. Thanks to Michael for all the work involved.
