I first met Robert in the late 60's/early 70's through his fellow VW nut Murray MacDonald. (I was into Mini's in those days). I seem to remember Robert had a VW with a Porshe engine. In the 90's Robert won his triple in a 1303. His car was controversial at the time as it was fuel injected. That's the engine (on carbs not Injection) that sits in the back of my VW1302s.
