Yes, I know it's early but take a look at this photograph and see if you can help. Click Here for a Bigger Version

Martin Pratt from Chester Motor Club asks:-

I wonder if you or any of your contributors can throw any light on the following. I have a copy of a photograph of what appears to be an Allard Special, Reg No. FGP 750, climbing this section on the 1946 Liverpool MC Jeans Gold Cup Trial. This event ran on the 25/5/1946 according to the notes on the back of the original. Does anyone know anything further about this, or any other similar events run in N Wales.

Welcome back Andy Holdaway = Tommybear7014

Dellow enthusiast Andy has rejoined as he has problems with his old log in. Andy has asked that I change his nickname to his real name. Unfortunately thats something you need to do yourself but it ain't easy!

New Troll Chassis?

Hi there,

I was talking to my brother and he asked does anybody still do the Troll chassis?
Who now owns the rights to build them?
I think there is a market for a kit like this again.
Just look how many Liege's it has brought into the sport.(Try and Order one of them or find one for sale)

Thanks
Steve

Lights . . . and Exeter

As we approach our first Exeter Trial, the occupants of the yeller Dutton are a little concerned about lighting, especially as we can't always see where we are going in daylight!

What are the rules on auxilary lighting?  The same as road rallies/scatters - 4 forward facing beams?

And any suggestions for dumping, sorry, parking, a trailer and tow car somewhere near Cirencester start where it will be okay until Sunday morning?

Starter motors

The starter in my Dellow (1600 X-FLOW) does not last. The windings tend to melt or the body falls apart! Any advise on fitting a pre engaged type,Would it be better?and what type/model should I try. The starter ring is new and standard.I think the motor fails due to the high compression rather than heavy use.
