I took some photo's of a view cars and video footage of some of the Cornish contingent on Simms and a few on Tillerton - will get round to putting on YouTube at some point - includes Tristan's wheelie's....!
I was down by the first step and got talking to someone who was busy taking loads of photo's with a fairly smart looking camera. He said it was the first trial he had seen and was amazed and would be putting them on his website for sale as print of bigger cloth prints I think. Some of the photo's I saw on his camera looked quite good. However, he is experiencing problems with his website at the moment and implied that it would probably take until the end of January to get these sorted and the photo's posted.

I have his business card at home and will post his other contact details as he is happy for people to contact him direct (if you cant wait!) and describe the car (bear in mind he has no idea of the difference between a Troll, Dellow etc) so colour and rough running position will help!
Whilst understanding that there needs to be an official photographer, I cannot conceal my disappointment with the two photos offered to me......and not cheap either! I like photos of my car in action and am quite prepared to buy them, but why on earth take difficult photos in the dark rather than in daylight? The results were very poor. I'm sure Charlie Wooding is an excellent photographer, but he did not impress on this occasion. Has anyone else had the same experience or is it just unlucky me? By contrast, I have always been delighted with photos from Dave Cook who is often seen at ACTC events. Car 120, Nigel Jones......The Exeter is a great event by the way. We wanted to do it all again when we'd finished!

While I'm about it can I thank all the event organisors whom seem happy to help me find suitable locations for Photography. Dave Cook
I think you were unlucky Nigel. As Mark said, Charlie seemed to manage the trick of taking pictures of the car I was in at 3 different sections. Probably had about 10 proofs through to choose from. Have had some really interesting compositions/lighting effects from Charlie in the past.

Looking at Charlie Wooding pictures it seems he managed to be at three sections including Tillerton & Simms.
