Before I became a Classic Trials Driver and many moons ago I used to co-drive on special stage rallies. I am talking about back in the 1970's when we used Escorts, Mantas, TR8's and such. Well my old driver from back then, Graham Elsmore and I have got together to have a last 'fling' by competeing on the Wyedean Rally. The Wyedean takes place in the Forest of Dean on Saturday 9th February. We decided on the Wyedean as when we were mere boys we won it 3 years on the trot in 75, 76 and 77 but due to punctures could only manage 2nd O/A in 78 and 79. So if you fancy a day out in the Forest of Dean on the 9th come and support us and maybe have a sneek look at some Kyrle hills. We will be driving a Mark 2 Ford Escort BDA to the old Group 4 specification and entered in the Historic class, thats us and the car.

Congratulations to Stuart Harrold and Graham Elsmore on their successful participation in the Wyedean Stages over the weekend. I gather they acheived a class result just outside the top twenty.
